Things I have time to do when I forget to bring my homework to baseball practice:
- Log in to my blog for the first time in years
- Write a blog post for the first time in years
- Respond to people I’ve been ignoring for the past ten days
- Try to pay tuition and fail, remembering I haven’t been able to make it work on my phone
- Take bad pictures of my nephew batting and digging holes with his heel in the dirt of the outfield
- Avoid making friends with baseball moms and dads
- Make note of the things I would practice with Mr. T if I wasn’t leaving in two days
- Feel grateful there’s not need for me to add “Practice Baseball with Mr. T” to my list of necessary things
- Shiver in Ohio could cover while dreaming of Utah sunshine
And just like that, baseball practice is over.
I’m calling it a win for Mr. T and a win for me.
